Spring LEANing Challenge
The Spring LEANing Challenge will be happening once we're all back in January.
The first step is to get everyone together for a 1 hour seminar on Paleo and Zone, the pros and cons of each, hwo to implement them, recipe ideas, etc... After which we will take our before pictures. (front, side and back. Men in shorts, women in shorts+sports bra/bikini top) These pictures will remain private, they won't be plastered all over the web so don't worry. This is also when your $30 for the prize pot will be payed.
After that you will be required to log and post ALL of your food and drink intake on the forum. There is a section in there for Q&A, Recipes and your personal food journal. You don't have to post every day, you can post weekly, but everyday must be accounted for within the week.
This challenge will run for 8 weeks, at which point we will take the after pictures. All of the Spring LEANing participants will then vote on who they think had the most dramatic/best change in their body composition.
We also encourage everyone to go through their cupboards at home and instead of throwing out all the things they want to cut out (pasta, etc...) bring it in and we will donate it all to the food bank. Helps a cause and removes temptation.
The 1 hour seminar, and official start of the Spring LEANing challenge will be on Friday, January 8th at 6:30PM

Glad you've decided to sign
Glad you've decided to sign up, Paul. I can tell you from personal experience that those 8lbs (really weird that you, Chris and I all gained the exact same over Christmas) comes off fairly quick once you start eating clean again. I used to measure myself by my Pre-pregnancy weight... this last few weeks have been my pre-Christmas weight.
I'm already trying to change
I'm already trying to change my habits in anticipation of this event. I am ready to put my money in and hopefully the paleo meal plan works for me, seems to be easy so far. I love staek, and eatting it every day doesn't bother me at all.
Myself, Beth, Chris, and John have all started recording our meals in the "Forum" section, I encourage everyone to start recording their diet so that you are tuned in for the challenge.
Good to hear you are going to stick this out with us Paul, I think it is just the motivation that some of us need to tune in our nutrition. Especially myself.

I'm in. After the epic cheat week we are going to have this Christmas, I'm going to need it.

ok, make do this competition. I have been out now since Dec 11. I ate and drank my way back into 8 lbs that I had rid myself of last year. I will whimper and whine and not want to do it, so I will sign up this week and do not let me off the hook!!
I challenge everyone to beat me.......yikes, should not have done that....
